Luc Vanlaere
Harpist
Composer
Instrument builder
If the harp would become the tree again that it was made of, i would invite you to sit in his shadow and listen. In this complex and tumultuous world the sound of the harp provides consolation to many people. My compositions are a delicate attempt to make the harp speak, to tell her own story that mysteriously seems to express our own deepest feelings. Being able to share this experience with you is my inexhaustable source of happiness and satisfaction.

ARTIST
Luc Vanlaere was born in the village of Wingene close to Bruges in the heart of Flanders. He is a free minded artist with a very particular approach to music and natural sound, which he performs in a totally unique way. Formal singer-song-writer, but harpist in all the vains, he developed a wayward vision on being an artist in these highly industrialised times. By declining all kinds of commercial networks like distribution of cd's, online downloading, agencies, editors etc... he protects his authenticity and stays close to his internal wish of playing and composing. The idea of "sharing" rather than selling tickets allows all people to be part of his sound experience
